Michael Ray Wilson, age 62
Of Willow Hill, IL passed away at 6:45 AM – Monday, January 16, 2012 at
Newton Rest Haven in Newton, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Newton, IL. Michael was born on August 2, 1949 in Centralia, IL the son of Floyd Ray and Irmalyn (Bridges) Wilson. Shortly after Mike was born his mother Irmalyn passed away from polio. Michael was a deaf mute from the polio his mother had while she was pregnant with him. After the passing of his mother Floyd married Shirley Faye Wilson and Shirley raised Mike as her own son. Michael worked over 14 years at Newton Broom Factory. He enjoyed mowing, watching John Wayne and the Three Stooges on TV. Michael is survived by: 4 Brother – Paul D. (Lori) Wilson of Holiday Hills, IL; Tubie J. (Pattie) Wilson of Windsor, SC; Steven S. Wilson of Willow Hill, IL; Todd W. (Christina) Wilson of Olney, IL Sister – Lori Kay (Richard) Rios of Willow Hill, IL. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, sister Peggy L. Wilson; brother Jeffrey Ray Wilson; cousins Geanie Marie Wilson and Cody Buck Wilson and several aunts and uncles also preceded him in death. Michael was loved and will be missed by his family and anyone who knew him. He is gone, but will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace.
