Mildred Agnes “Millie” (Koebele) Grasselli, age 82, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 11:55 PM - Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Helia Healthcare of Newton.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois, with Father Pawel Luczak celebrating mass. The burial will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery in Island Grove, Illinois. In loving memory of Millie, memorials may be made to the Family Life Center, 301 South Jackson Street Newton, Illinois 62448. Mildred better known as Millie was born on August 10, 1943, in Island Grove, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Clara (Cohorst) Koebele. She graduated from Newton Community High School with the Class of 1961. Millie met Franco Grasselli in Evergreen, Colorado; and soon after were wed on November 17, 1973, in Boston, Massachusetts. Franco preceded her in death on December 30, 1990.

Millie worked as a secretary for many years. After Franco and Millie were married that opened Café Franco in Denver area, a wonderful Italian restaurant.

Millie was an international traveler, wine connoisseur, avid reader and enjoyed gambling.

Millie is survived by:

Son - Kevin (Lisa) Sigafoos of Black Hawk, Colorado

Grandsons - Zane (Emma) Sigafoos, Xandon (Victoria) Sigafoos, and Wyatt Sigafoos

Great Grandchildren Harper and Sage Sigafoos

Siblings – Gene (Jan) Koebele of Effingham, Illinois; Stell (Bob) Smithenry of Newton, Illinois

Sister-in-law – Marilyn Koebele of Island Grove, Illinois

Brother-in-law – Bob Althoff of Effingham, Illinois

Several nieces and nephews

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Geraldine Althoff, Delores (Louie) Bierman, Ruth (Rich) Jansen, brothers George Koebele and Clete Koebele.
