Neal E. Scott, age 87 of Olney, passed away on Thursday February 22, 2018 at Burgin Manor in Olney.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Monday, February 26, 2018 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral service will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont. Pastor Tim Bursott will be officiating.

Neal was born on March 12, 1930 in Wayne Co., the son of Charlie and Sarah (Nelson) Scott. He later married Bernice Misner on June 18, 1952 in Richland County. She preceded him in death on July 1, 2017.

He worked for the City of Olney before he retired. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Neal is survived by his 3 sons, Marty Scott (Cherri) of Olney, Jay Scott (Paula) of Olney, John Scott (fiancé Paula) of Parkersburg; brother Hugh Scott (Marsha) of Bridgeport; half-brother Bert Alvord (Winona)  of Olney; sister Betty Jordan of Chilicothe, Illinois; 7 grandchildren Toni Glinski (Derek Blain), Nakia Scott (Scott Butler), Amber Smith (Harold), Drew Pottorff (Tara), Ben Pottorff (Leslie) Katie Clark and Zoe White; 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Sarah Scott, 5 brothers, Dean, Jack and Don Scott and Joe and Roy Lester and infant sister Wanda Scott.
