Nila Jean Reed, age 60
of Effingham, Illinois passed away at 4:16 PM – Saturday, November 14, 2015 Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM – Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Hayes Cemetery in rural Hidalgo, Illinois with Rodney Houser officiating. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois.
Nila was born on February 19, 1955 in Effingham, Illinois the daughter of Don Matteson and Evelyn Houser. Nila had worked at Hodgson Mills. She enjoyed cooking, especially baking.
Nila is survived by her three Children – Amanda Bailey of Greenup, Illinois, David Bailey (fiancé Sierra Adams) and James Bailey (fiancé Erica John) both of Effingham, Illinois. Significant Other – Kevin Reed of Effingham, Illinois. Grandchildren – Makenzi Hill of Hidalgo, Illinois; Zane Bailey, Gavin Bailey, Jaclynn Adams, Jaxdon Adams and Zoey Bridges all of Effingham, Illinois. Sister – Donella (Dennis) Bailey of Hidalgo, Illinois
Nila was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Jennifer Bailey, twin sister Nina June Houser and a brother Mike Matteson.
