Norma J. (Runyon) Lane, 83, of Olney, passed away at 5:05 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Helia Healthcare in Olney.

Funeral Mass will be at 2 PM on Monday, August 1, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Olney. Father Felix Chukwuma will be officiating.

Norma was born on December 5, 1938 in Olney, the daughter of George and Erma (Rennier) Runyon.

She was a cook at the Richland County Jail for 17 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney. She was also a member of the Olney Eagles Lodge, VFW. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, gardening, and playing bingo. She also enjoyed going bowling and watching birds.

Norma is survived by her 3 daughters Jodie Leonard (Fred) of Springfield, Theresa Johnson (Tim) of Buffalo, IL, and Lori Chapman (Jeff) of Springfield; 3 brothers Norman 'Sonny' Runyon of Olney, George 'Pud' Runyon Jr. (Shirley) of Olney, and Ed Runyon of Philo, IL; 6 grandchildren Mike Adams, Joseph Lane, Kassy Tibbs, Kayla Hall, Matthew Lane and Kenzie Johnson; 5 great-granddaughters Kali, Kinleigh, Hannah, Ella, and Mia; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents George and Erma Runyon, son Joe Lane, and granddaughter Kendra Marie Johnson.
