Norman Wayne "Butch" Nester, age 74, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 5:01 AM – Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Helia Healthcare of Newton.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  Burial will be in the Tate Cemetery west of Bogota, Illinois.  Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service.  In loving memory of Norman, memorials may be made to the C.A.N. Norman, better known by his family and friends as "Butch" was born on March 7, 1947, in Watseka, Illinois, the son of Jack and Norma Maxine (Carpenter) Nester.

Norman was an over the road truck driver for many years.

Sons – Troy Nester (Crystal McKenzie) of Willow Hill, Illinois

Monty (Rebekah) Nester of Newton, Illinois

several grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers and sisters also survive

Norman was preceded in death by his parents and a son Craig Nester.
