Obituary

Ollie M. (Jennings) Greenwood, age 92, of Olney, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 4-7 PM in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 10:30 AM in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont. Reverend Bob Totten will be officating.

Ollie was born December 24, 1922, in Wayne City, the daughter of Stephen and Maggie (Shelton) Jennings. She later married Otis Earl Greenwood Sr. on August 8, 1943 in Olney. He survives.

She worked at the International Shoe Factory for 25 years.  She loved spending time outdoors fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening and spending time with her family. She was Church of God by faith. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Ollie is survived by her husband Otis Earl Greenwood Sr., of Olney; 5 sons, Otis Jr. (Norma) of Noble, Steve (Pat) of Noble, Darrel of Olney, Rocky (Wanda) of Clay City and Tommy (Tess) of Noble; 10 grandchildren Wanda (Kent) Johnson of Boliver, Mo, Jeff (Robin) Greenwood of Forsythe, Mo; Shane Asher, Mo; Michele (Greg) Suddeth, Rhonda (TJ) Barth of Olney, Chad (Jill) Greenwood of Olney, Jackie (Scott) Kurtz of Mooresville, NC; James (Angie) Greenwood of Fairfield; Korey (Audrey) of Noble and Jacob of Noble; 15 great-grandchildren Stormy Randi (Josh) Patke, Jacob Johnson, Ashton (Bo) DeJager, Caitlin and Coy Greenwood, Stormy Asher, Jace, Carley and Kristen Greenwood, Elizabeth and Abigail Kurtz, Shelby and Josie Greenwood, and Quinten and Jordan Greenwood; 4 great-great grandchildren Faith and Elijah Greenwood and Trenton and Isabella Patke; 5 sisters Maxine Reed of Salem, Karen Hodge of Iuka, Sandy (Verlyn) Oswald of Iuka, Rosie (Erwin) Hahn of Iuka and Lou Clark Of Pamama City, Florida; sister-in-law Verlene Ward of Salem; brother-in-law Truman (Shirley) Greenwood of Olney and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Maggie Jennings, 2 sons Alan and Stormy, daughter-in-law, Norma, 2 great grandsons, Cameron Greenwood and Elijah Johnson,  4 brothers Charlie, Bud, Les and Everett Jennings and 3 sisters, Jessie Turner, Beulah Colclasure and Darlene Stopher.
