Pamela Sue Schafer, age 65

Pamela Sue Schafer, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 8:50 AM – Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at her home.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM – Friday, June 15, 2018, at Trexler Cemetery in rural Newton, Illinois, with Mike Knepper officiating.  Arrangements are under care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  In loving memory of Pamela, memorials may be to the family and sent c/o Meyer Funeral Home 307 West Jourdan Street Newton, Illinois 62448.

Pamela was born in Newton, Illinois, on August 16, 1952, the daughter of Herbert Eugene and Betty Louise (Durbin) Matlock.

Pamela worked at UTA and E.R. Moore Cap and Gown Factory in Newton for many years.

Pamela is survived by:

Sons – Jason Schafer of Wheeler, Illinois; Kevin Schafer of Effingham, Illinois and Aaron Schafer of Newton, Illinois

Granddaughter – Evelynn Schafer of Newton, Illinois

Mother – Betty Matlock of Newton, Illinois

Sister – Sandy Lamb of Newton, Illinois

Special companion and caregiver – Lynn Schafer of Newton, Illinois

Pamela was preceded in death by her father and sister Linda Lee Decker.
