Patricia L. Hayden-Titus, age 99, of Greenup, Illinois, passed away at 6:09 PM – Tuesday December 31, 2024,
at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon) on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the Meyer Funeral Home – Bishop Chapel in Greenup, Illinois. A service celebrating Pat's life will be held following, with the burial in Greenup Cemetery in Greenup, Illinois. In loving memory of Pat, memorials may be made to the Church of Casey. Patricia, better known as "Pat" was born on July 21, 1925, in Hidalgo, Illinois, the daughter of William Hobert and Bertha Esco (Hutson) Sowers. She married Donald Albert Hayden on April 25, 1942, and he preceded her in death on October 15, 1981. She later married Kenneth Titus on December 12, 1994, and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2016.
Pat was a farmer's wife helping Don on the farm for many years. She also had worked at Ettelbrick Shoe Factory in Greenup, Illinois.
Pat was a member of the Greenup United Methodist Church. She was an artist and enjoyed making crafts and collecting bears. She also was a car enthusiast and loved to go dancing.
Pat is survived by:
Sons – Dean Hayden of Chillicothe, Illinois; and Jim (wife June) Hayden of Greenup, Illinois
Grandchildren – Pamela Hayden, Patti Hayden, Ashley (husband Tim) Phillips, and Carissa (husband Jason) Hayden-Chapa
Great Grandchildren – Deakyn Vance, Mason Vance, and Avacyn Chapa
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, six brothers, Carol "Pete", Kenneth, Richard "Dick", Berl Dean "Jim/Moe", Randall, and William "Bill" Sowers, and a sister Betty Sowers.
