Patrick J. Michl, age 89

Of Effingham and formerly of Ste. Marie, IL passed away at 1:09 PM – Thursday, July 11, 2013 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM – Monday, July 15, 2013 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, IL. Burial will be in the St. Valentine Cemetery in the Bend Community of Jasper County, IL. Visitation will be held 2 hours before the mass. In loving memory of Patrick, memorials may be made to ARC or Wetherell House.
Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL.

Patrick was born on March 17, 1924 in Jasper County, IL the son of August and Philomena (Kerner) Michl.

Patrick worked at ARC for many years. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, bingo, dancing,
going to parties and tinkering with things.

Patrick was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham, IL and
a former member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, IL and
St. Valentine's Catholic Church in the Bend, Jasper County, IL.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #665.

Patrick is survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters Louise Anderson, Helen Michl, Bernice Seiler and Monica Dhom and 4 brothers Lawrence, Marion, Joseph and Xavier Michl.
