Mr. Peter M. Grubb, age 89
Of Charleston, IL passed away at 9:25 AM – Monday, August 13, 2012 at Charleston Rehab and Health Care Center in Charleston, IL.Funeral services celebrating Peter's life will be held at 10:00 AM – Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Bishop Funeral Home in Greenup, IL. Burial will be in the Jack Oak Cemetery north of Greenup, IL. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM – Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the funeral home. In loving memory of Peter, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.               Peter was born on April 13, 1923 in Olney, IL the son of Vernie Lamen and Lacie Agatha (Thomason) Grubb. He married Marjorie A. Kuhn on July 2, 1943 in Fithian, IL and she preceded him in death on September 18, 1999. He later married Evelyne Robinson on March 14, 2000 and she survives.
Peter was a retired teacher and was a painter for many years. He also was a Preacher and preached at the Antioch Church of Christ for over 60 years. He preached in many churches in other states. He enjoyed bowling and helped with the Sarah Bush Lincoln Guild.
