Phyllis E. Mattingly, age 76

Of Dieterich, IL passed away at 7:00 PM - Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM – Monday, July 25, 2011 at St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church Newton, IL with Father Mike Haag celebrating mass. Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 24 at the Blake-Wright Funeral Home in Dieterich, IL and ½ hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to St. John's Hospice.

Phyllis was born on November 22, 1934 in Jasper County Illinois the daughter of John and Mildred (Schmidt) Mattingly. Phyllis was a loving mother and homemaker.

She was a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and was an artist.

She is survived by 2 daughters Mary (husband Kerry Leonard) McCleskey of Livingston, LA; Karla Marie Lane of Effingham, IL; 3 Grandchildren - Ricky L May II, Jarrett Wayne McCleskey and Wyatt Paul Watkins

Brother Francis Mattingly of Newton, IL; 2 Sisters Dorothy Bullen of Greenville, TN and Mildred Flottmann of Bloomington, IL.

Preceding Phyllis in death were her parents, 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
