Ralph Quentin Holsapple, age 94
Of Newton, IL passed away at 12:05 AM – Monday, May 6, 2013 at St Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM – Friday, May 10, 2013 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Newton, IL with Rev. Tim Pearce and Rev. David Eadie officiating. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery in Greenup, IL with full military rites. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM – Thursday, May 9, 2013 and ½ hour before the services at the Grace United Methodist Church in Newton, IL. Masonic rites will be held at 8:00 PM – Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the church. In loving memory of Ralph, memorials may be made to the Eagle's Nest Teen Center. Ralph was born on September 1, 1918 in Greenup, IL the son of George C. and Dora E. (Ward) Holsapple. He married Evelyn Welker on November 23, 1939 in Henderson, KY.
Ralph served his country in the United States Army during WW II.
Ralph retired from the United States Postal Service after 20 years and was a farmer.
Ralph was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Newton; Newton Masonic Lodge #216 and the Jasper County Farm Bureau.
Ralph also served his community in other areas by serving on the Newton Grade School Board and as a 4-H leader in the Vanderhoof community.

Grandchildren – Lynette (Greg) Denzer of Collierville, TN; Sarah (Josh) Rhea of Jacksonville, IL; Kindra (Matt) Eagin of Round Rock, TX; Emily (Mike) Lindgren of Bourbonnais, IL; Kelly (Caleb) Baker of Newton, IL; Devin (Amanda) Holsapple of Newton, IL; Brandon (Megan) Hattermann of Valdosta, GA; Kari Beth Holsapple of Newton, IL and Elizabeth Hattermann of Valdosta, GA

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Patricia Ann Brunner; 4 brothers Golden, Ivan, Kenneth and Hugh Holsapple and a sister Reva Holsapple.
