Mr. Ray Gene Cook, age 68

Of Effingham, IL and formerly of Casey and Newton, IL passed away at 10:20 AM - Sunday, September 4, 2011 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM – Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the South Muddy Cemetery near Ingraham, IL with Chris Parr officiating. In loving memory of Ray, memorials may be made to the family.

Ray was born on October 14, 1942 in Effingham, IN the son of Chester and Neva (Reed) Cook.

Ray was a salesman. He was a member of the Casey Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner. He was also a member of the Eagles and Moose.

John Paul (Johnna) Cook of Efingham, IL

Daughter - Sharon

Step Daughters - Vonda Kemna and Roseann Ambrester

Ex-wife – Janet Cook of St. Peter, MO

5 Grandchildren – Elizabeth, Skylar, Sierra, Adrian and Mathias

6 Step Grandchildren 4 Step Great Grandchildren

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, sister Dorothy Speital and a brother Roy Cook.
