Raymond A. Graves, 97 of Olney, passed away at 8:05 PM on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Celebration of Life service will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney. Pastor Steve Miller will be officating. Cremation rites will be accorded.

Raymond was born on June 30, 1924 in Olney, the son of Walter and Martha (Mitchell) Graves. He later married Velma "Susie� Melton on January 22, 1978 in Marion. She survives.

He was a farmer his whole life. He enjoyed working on his farm and sharing that with his son. He also enjoyed rabbit hunting. He was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney. He was also a member of the beagle club. He won the Outstanding Young Farmer award.

Raymond is survived by his wife Susie Graves; son Dennis Graves (Jane) of Olney; daughter Elaine Snider (John) of Olney; step-son Dana Mike Maloney (Shannon) of Marion; 2 step-daughters Dori Maloney of Cambria, IL and Dawn Maloney of Metropolis, IL; 14 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Martha Graves and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Memorials can be sent to the RCHS FFA in memory of Raymond Graves.
