Renee Ann Ochs, age 54

Renee Ann Ochs, age 54, of Newton Illinois, passed away at 7:45 AM – Thursday, July 8, 2021, at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM – Monday, July 12, 2021, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois, with Fr. Frank Folino, OFM celebrating mass.  Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, Illinois.  Visitation will be held 4:00–7:00 PM – Sunday, July 11, 2021, at the church and from 9:30-10:30 AM – Monday, before the mass.  In loving memory of Renee, memorials may be made to the Jasper County Cancer Fund PO Box 333 Newton, Illinois 62448.  Arrangements are under care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com .

Renee Ann was born on February 19, 1967, in Kankakee, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Beverly (Bliss) Goff.  She married Brent Ochs on September 9, 1995, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois.

Renee graduate of Oblong High School, and was a member of the Class of 1985.  She was a current employee of the Jasper County Community Unit #1 School District, where she has been a bus driver for over 20 years.

Renee was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois.  She served as a 4-H leader for the Vanderhoof Producers and was always willing to volunteer.

Renee loved her family, making quilts, caring for her yard and camping with family and friends.

Renee is survived by-

Husband of 25 years - Brent Ochs of Newton, Illinois

Children - Trevor (Jessica) Ochs and Haley Ochs (special friend Tom Flood) both of Newton, Illinois

Grandson - Emerson LeRoy Ochs

Mother-in-law - Virginia Ochs

Brother - David (Amy) Goff of Oblong, Illinois

Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-Law - Gerald (Denisse) Ochs, Marvin (Dawn Ann Calvert) Ochs, Vince (Cathy) Ochs, Gery (Dorette) Ochs, Terry "Toad" Ochs, Randy (Debbie) Ochs, Brenda (John) Phillips, Barney (Melanie) Ochs, Pam (Brandon) Francis and Aileen Goff

Renee was preceded in death by her parents, sister Robin Goff, brother Danny Goff, infant brother Kenneth Goff, grandparents John and Lula Goff and Emerson and Mildred Bliss and father-in-law Jacob Ochs.
