Rex Brown, 65, of Olney, passed away at 4:30 PM on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Helia Healthcare in Olney.

Celebration of Life Service will be at 10 AM on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow.

Rex was born on April 3, 1957 in Effingham, the son of Tom and Charlene (Feldhake) Brown. He later married Barbara Taylor on June 8, 1996 in Olney. She survives.

He worked as a mechanic for Hancock Carriers and at Bestway for many years. He enjoyed fixing mowers and semis as well as working on cars occasionally. He also enjoyed his farm animals such as his horses, peacocks, hamp hogs, chickens and multiple rabbits. He also had a parrot named Petey that he enjoyed watching wrestling with. He also enjoyed watching Bob Ross.

Rex is survived by his wife Barbara Brown; 3 daughters Crystal Brinkley and husband Brandon, Nicole Stein and husband Kevin, and Candice Brown; step-son Kenneth Grove; mother-in-law Norma Taylor; 2 sisters Georgia Ann Brown and Tina Young and husband Russell; 4 grandchildren Alyssa Weber, Annabelle Weber, Broden Brinkley, and Bryce Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
