Richard L. Phillips, age 72, of Olney, Illinois, passed away
at 2:40 PM – Thursday, February 29, 2024, Carle Richland Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.  A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

Richard was born on July 20, 1951, in Danville, Illinois the son of Leon and Helen (Pasley) Phillips.
He married the love of his life on September 12, 1970. They spent a wonderful 53 years of marriage until her passing on November 1, 2023.

Richard was full of life and loved his family, he never knew a stranger. He was a very social person.
Richard was a member of the Olney Free Methodist Church of Olney. He loved to play cards and dominos,
do wood working, golf and was an avid Cardinal's fan.

Richard is survived by his sons;
Robert (Colleen Lynch) Phillips of Olney, Illinois
Roger (Chrissy) Phillips of Olney, Illinois
grandchildren; Terence, Monica, Peyton, Ryan, Cameron, Hadley Josh Ashley and Dominique.
Great-grandchild; Sawyer
sister; Sara Lynn (Mike) Van De Walker of Danville, Illinois

Richard is preceded in death by his Parents, wife Judy, and son Russell Phillips.
