Robert L. Boyer, age 90 of Olney, passed away at 7:45 AM on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Richland Care and Rehab in Olney.

No services are being planned at this time. Cremation rites will be accorded. Thrasher Family Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Robert was born on July 10, 1930 in Chicago the son of Paul and Elizabeth (Bosgraff) Boyer. He later married Jeanette Vanderkooy on March 10, 1956 in Chicago. She survives.

He served as a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War Conflict. He worked as an accountant for AMF and Spartan for many years. He loved growing orchids, gardening and fishing in his pond at his home.

Robert is survived by his wife Jeanette Boyer of Olney; son Robert Paul Boyer of Olney; 5 daughters Donna Boyer of Portland, OR, Karen Lafary (Donald) of Nashville, Linda Mowrer (Aaron) of Olney, Jeanette Campbell (Roy) of St. Cloud, FL, and Ruth Boyer of Gurnee, IL; brother Paul Boyer (Marlene) of Chicago; 3 sisters Mildred VanDyke (Jacob) of Florence, AL, Janet Lobes of CA, Evelyn Vandruen of St. John, IN; 10 grandchildren Eric Boyer, Josh, Seth, and Sarah Mowrer, Katie and Hannah Lafary, Laura and Dalton Campbell, Sebastian and Emma Boyer; 2 great-granddaughters Briar and Bristol Campbell and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Elizabeth Boyer.
