Robert Charles Rist, age 82, of Olney, Illinois, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.  A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 10:00AM until 12:00 noon, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Olney.  The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com.

Bob was born on July 9, 1942, the son of Albert Charles and Dorothy (Twellman) Rist
in St. Louis, Missouri.  He married his wife Laurie, on November 17, 1973, and she survives.

Bob was an electrician by trade, he was a member of the IBEW Local 1 of St. Louis for 52 years. He loved his family and was very interested in and supported the events of his grandchildren, whether it be their sporting events or cattle shows. Bob loved watching drag racing and professional wrestling. His dogs were loved and spoiled rotten. Bob loved his tools, and he knew how to use them. He would open his workshop to anyone who needed tools or his lift. He and his family started camping at the East Fork Campground on April 15, 1987 and started managing it in 2000.

daughter Monica (Timothy) Grove of Olney, Illinois
daughter Lisa (Anthony) Casimere of St. Louis, Missouri
grandchildren: Kevin, Lauren, Sean, Brianna, Cody, Connor, Sophia, Emery, Ely, Mia
and several great-grandchildren

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, and son Robbie Rist
