Robert Lee "Bob" Britton, age 72
Of Olney, Illinois passed away at 5:10 AM – Sunday, January 25, 2015
at Helia Healthcare in Olney, Illinois.
Private Family services will be held with burial in the Gila Lutheran Cemetery in Gila, Illinois with full military rites by the Jasper Post #20 American Legion.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.
Robert Lee Britton was born on February 11, 1942 in Jasper County, Illinois the son of Beryl Lee "Bake" Britton and Rosella (Gosnell) Wilson.
Robert served his country in the United States Army.
Robert worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years at Shuler Tractor Service in Noble, Illinois. Robert was a member of the Shiloh Christian Church in Willow Hill, Illinois.
He enjoyed NASCAR, visiting with friends and family.
Bob will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Son- Robert L. (Stephanie) Britton II of Owensboro, Kentucky
Daughter- Krista (Jon) Dever of Columbus, Ohio
Grandchildren- Jacob Britton, Cailee Britton, Brook Venters
Sisters- Barbara (Larry) Matson of Newton, Illinois
Judy (Keith) Colclasure of Ingraham, Illinois
Brother- Brett Britton of Charleston, Illinois
Step- Mother- Yvonne Britton of Newton, Illinois
Lifelong companion- Emma Medford of Olney, Illinois
Very good friends- JD Lame of Parkersburg, Illinois and Louella Kortege of West Salem, Illinois
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Rosco & Grace Gosnell and
Elmer & Lydia Britton, brother Jackie Gene Britton, sister Elaine Jackson and
grandson Daniel Scott Brown II.
