Robert Gordon Page, age 86
of Effingham, Illinois and formerly of Centralia, Illinois passed away at 11:59 AM – Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at his home.
Masonic services will be held at 12:00 PM- Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois. Funeral services celebrating Robert's life will follow with Jim Davidson officiating.
Burial will be in Scott Cemetery in Winterrowd, Illinois with full military rites. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. In loving memory of Robert, memorials may be made to the St. Anthony's Hospice or Shriners Childrens Hospital.

Robert was born on April 3, 1928 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Robert Milton and Nellie (Brotherton) Page. He married June (Comstock) Douthit on June 10, 2000 in Effingham, IL and she survives.
Robert served his country during WWII in the Merchant Marines and on May 17, 1946 he joined the Army Air Force and was honorably discharged on December 19, 1947.
Robert was a crane operator for many years and an iron worker. He was a member of the Midwest Operating Engineers and Iron Workers Union Local 75.
Robert was a life member of the Winterrowd Masonic Lodge #664; life member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Southern Illinois; life member of Shriners International; life member of American Legion Post #120; life member of the Operating Engineers Squad Club and a member of the Grand Order of the Sword of Bunker Hill Betsy Ross Order No 30 Benton, Illinois.
Robert's favorite hobbies were bowling and dancing.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Don Page.
