Robin K. Goff, 58, of Peoria, IL, formerly of Oblong, died peacefully with her dog Boomer by her side, at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at her sister's home in Newton, after a very courageous battle with cancer.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28th at the Dogwood Prairie United Methodist Church, rural Oblong, with Rondel Boyd in charge of services. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service. Meyer Funeral Home in Newton is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Hospice Care or to the Peoria Humane Society.

Robin was born February 19, 1957 in Chicago Heights, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Beverley Bliss Goff. Robin graduated from Oblong High School in 1975. She then graduated from Illinois State University. Robin worked for the National Forestry Service in Dillion, Colorado and Cody, Wyoming before going back to school at Oregon State in Eugene, Oregon, where she received her teaching degree. Robin taught school at Bradford High School for 15 years and most recently at East Peoria High School, for the last 20 years. Robin loved teaching and coaching tennis. Teaching and working with kids was her passion.
