Roy Cox, 84, of Olney, Illinois, passed away October 19, 2025, at Richland Nursing and Rehab.

A Memorial Visitation for Roy will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM
at the Meyer Funeral Home in Olney, Illinois. The obituary can be viewed,

Roy was born on November 30, 1940, in St. Elmo, Illinois the son of Roy E. and Florence (Gallion) Cox.

Roy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Airman 1st Class.
He married the love of his life, Joni Wondolowski on June 24, 1965,
and she preceded him in death on March 11, 2022.

Roy loved his family and doted on his grandchildren. He worked for many years as a machinist for a tool and dye company. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles and enjoyed restoring old vehicles. One of his greatest enjoyments in the last few years was meeting his friends at McDonalds for coffee.

Roy is survived by his daughter Dannette (Brian) Craig;

Three grandchildren Kearsten (Jason) Givens, Klayton (Kate) Craig, Kylar (Clayton) Walden;

and two great-grandchildren Landon and Crew Givens.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Curtis Neal Cox, and infant sister.
