Roy M. Fulk, age 65 of Noble, died at 7:34 AM, January 19, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 21 at 10:00 AM at Hanna Cemetery in Noble with Reverend Bob Totten officiating and full military honors performed at the graveside by the Richland County Veterans Organization. Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Fulk was born March 21, 1949 in Richland County the son of Carl and Erma (Jackson) Fulk. He later married Dena (Herdes) Fulk on February 17, 1968 and she survives.

Sgt. Fulk served in the US Army from 1968 - 1974 during the Vietnam Era Conflict and won the National Defense Service Medal as well as being classified as a sharpshooter and an expert with both the M14 and M16 rifles. He worked in the oilfield for many years before going to Modesitt Trucking which is now Peavler's Trucking of Olney. He enjoyed talking on C.B.'s when driving a semi. He also enjoyed in his spare time tinkering with old cars especially Model A's and spending time with family and his grandboys.

Mr. Fulk is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dena (Herdes) Fulk of Noble; children Kimberly (Bob) Morris, Cory (Amy) Fulk and Casey (Sara) Fulk and 4 grandboys and 1 step grandson, Adam Harmon, Tanner Fulk, Cody Fulk, Dylan Fulk all of Noble and step-grandson Jessie Morris. His mother Erma Fulk and mother-in-law Eva Herdes Klingler and 3 brothers, 2 sisters and many aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his father Carl, father-in-law C.J. Herdes and son-in-law Mike Harmon.
