Mrs. Ruby Grace Blair, age 95 Formerly of Toledo, IL went to be with her Lord at 7:55 AM – Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Heartland Christian Village in Neoga, IL. Ruby Grace was born on November 8, 1916 in Coles County, IL the daughter of Franklin Pierce and Bertha (Fritche) Walden. She married Paul W. Blair on April 10, 1933 in Toledo, IL and he preceded her in death on June 27, 1988. Ruby was a homemaker and had also worked at the Ettlebrick Shoe Factory for 10 years. Ruby was a faithful member of the Woodbury United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Woodbury Women Society of Christian Service. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and reading. She loved to have fun; her wit and sense of humor were contagious to those around her. Ruby was a great cook and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Ruby's greatest treasure was serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was always giving testimony and spreading the word of the Lord. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 granddaughter Vicki Alumbaugh; 1 great granddaughter Allie Decker; 3 brothers Glen and Jim Walden and Jesse Shoap and 2 sisters Carrie Walden and Maxine Kingery.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM – Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Woodbury United Methodist Church in Woodbury, IL with Rev. George Whitley officiating. Burial will be in the Elliott Cemetery in rural Toledo, IL. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM – Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Bishop Funeral Home in Greenup, IL. There will also be visitation ½ hour before the service in the church. In loving memory of Ruby, memorials may be made to the Woodbury United Methodist Church or Heartland Christian Village.
