Ruby Mae Grove, age 86, of Centralia, formerly of Jasper County, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 10-11 AM in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11 AM in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery in Wakefield. Reverend Gary Wachtel will be officiating.

She was born on October 31, 1928 in Floyd County, Iowa, the daughter of Lon and Dora (Brown) King. She later married Dewey Junior Grove on January 20, 1947. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1997.

Ruby was a teacher grades first through third at Bogota, Johnsonville, Mt. Erie and other different schools. She enjoyed working outside and planting trees. She was Methodist by faith. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Ruby is survived by her two sons Michael Grove of Flowery Branch, Georgia and Randall Grove and wife Charlotte of Indialantic, Florida; daughter Teresa Grove of Centralia; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dewey Grove, parents Lon and Dora King, 2 sons Jeffrey David Grove and William Grove and sister Ruth Jenkins.
