Ruth Frances Griffith, age 89
Of Rose Hill, Illinois went home to be with the Lord at 10:50 AM - Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Burgin Manor in Olney, Illinois.
Graveside services for family and friends will be held at 2:00 PM- Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Songer Cemetery near Rose Hill, Illinois.
A celebration of Ruth's life will follow the service at the Plainfield Church east of Rose Hill, Illinois.

Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.

Ruth was born on August 2, 1925 in Crawford County, Illinois the daughter of Walter and Cora Annabell (Cook) Chapman. She married Glen E. Griffith on August 2, 1945
and he preceded her in death on September 19, 1984. Ruth enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, gardening and

watching hummingbirds gather at her feeders.
She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.
Ruth loved her family especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and
great-great-grandchildren.

Phillip Griffith of Robinson, Illinois
18 Grandchildren
30 Great-grandchildren
11 Great Great-grandchildren
Brother - Henry Chapman of Robinson, Illinois
Sister - Rose Watts of Cherokee Village, Arkansas
Adopted Daughter - Marilyn (Jack) Stuckey of Newton, Illinois

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Glen E. Griffith, sons Lynn E. Griffith, Bradley L. Griffith, Larry J. Griffith and Stephen D. Chapman,
grandson Scott Anthony Alan Griffith and siblings Harold Chapman, Alta Gaddis, Lucille Tenneson and Loraine Bush.
