Sally Ann (Tulip) Thomas, age 77, of Olney, passed away at 4:22 PM on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Aperion Care in Olney.

Funeral service will be at 1 PM on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Pastor Steve Wingert will be officiating. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery south of Noble.

Sally was born on December 2, 1940 in Cambridge, OH the daughter of John Nicholas and Margaret (King) Tulip. She later married Cecil Thomas on December 2, 1972 in Effingham. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1993.

She worked as a telephone operator at Richland Memorial Hospital for 12 years. She was a member of Liberty Congregational Church in Wynoose. She enjoyed eating food, working in her garden and canning during harvest season. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Sally is survived by her 2 sons David Lee Ball of OH and Charles E. Ball of OH; step-son Greg Thomas of Olney; 2 daughters Mary Margaret Ball of MD and Shirley Louise Spurlock of OH; 3 step-daughters Lawonna Woody of FL, Roxanna Cantrell of IL and Renee Browning of FL; 8 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Thomas, parents John and Margaret Tulip, brother John F. King, and daughter Cheri Tracy.

Memorials can be sent to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association in memory of Sally Ann (Tulip) Thomas.
