Sandra Lynn "Sandy" Finn, age 58
of Newton, Illinois passed away at 4:15 AM - Monday, October 9, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services celebrating Sandy's life will be held at 10:00AM - Friday, October 13, 2017, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, with Larry "Red" Matson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family request casual attire be worn to the visitation, "Supporting Sandy" t-shirts or Teal in honor of cervical cancer, is encouraged. Burial will be in the Aten Cemetery in Hidalgo, Illinois.
In loving memory of Sandy, memorials may be made to the Family's Choice.

Sandy was born on January 2, 1959, in Effingham, Illinois the daughter of Charles Neil and Ruby L. (Shamhart) Woods. She graduated in 1977, from Newton Community High School. She married William Ray Finn on July 29, 1978, in Wheeler, Illinois, and he survives.
Sandy worked for several years at Newton Broom Factory before staying at home to spoil her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy whether it was attending cross county meets, t-ball games, waiting for deer season reports or showing the next generation how to find a bargain at a garage sale. She and Ray enjoyed attending auction together to find a bargain or to visit with friends.

Husband of 39 years - Ray Finn on Newton, Illinois
Daughter - Felicia (Andy) Huber of Dieterich, Illinois
Son - Will Finn of Rose Hill, Illinois
Grandchildren - Dakota & Austin Huber of Dieterich, Illinois and
Kaelynn Jo Finn of Newton, Illinois
Fur Son - Ford Dog
Sisters - Jean McWhorter; Jan Funneman and Linda Bower
Chosen Sister and Caregiver- Paula Stanley
Chosen Sister - "Mug" Finn
Father-in-law- Ed Finn of Hidalgo, Illinois
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Brenda Jo Fagan, mother-in-law Minnie Belle Finn and her nephews.
