Seaton Cash, of West Salem entered into eternity on September 15. He was born in Burnt Prairie, IL to James and Amelia Cash. He learned to walk again after being paralyzed by polio as a teenager. He
and Catherin Schumaker, of Carmi, were united in marriage in May 1943, in Carmi. She passed away in 1974.
He worked as a tool and die maker, a farmer, and a teacher. He was proud to be a Lifetime Member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He married Delores Lomas in March of 1986. They attended the Marion Christian Church in West Salem.
He is survived by his second wife Delores, his daughter Kay (Kent) Wilson of Algonquin, grandchildren Ben (Marissa) Wilson of Lake-in-The-Hills and Aaron (Nicole) Wilson of Litchfield. He had four and a half great-grandchildren Ariana, Jake, Matthew, and Alivia. One brother, J.R. Cash of Burnt Prairie died in 2008. One sister, Juanita Heady died in 1999. Also surviving is a niece Karen Ferrero of Norcross, Georgia, and a nephew Ernest Heady of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Visitation will be at the Stasi-Grove Funeral Home at 10 A.M. on September 18, followed by a memorial service celebrating his life at 11 A.M. Internment will be at the Burnt Prairie Cemetery in Burnt Prairie, Illinois next to his first wife Catherin.
