Sharon Elizabeth (Buerster) Correll, age 66, of Noble, Illinois, entered peacefully into eternal rest at 3:32 PM - Monday, March 11, 2019, at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM – Monday, March 18, 2019, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, Illinois, with Fr. Mark Stec celebrating mass. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Wendelin, Illinois. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM – Sunday, March 17, 2019, at the church and 1 hour before the mass. In loving memory of Sharon, memorials may be made to the Holy Cross Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Sharon was born on January 2, 1953, in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Lowell and Hermina (Seckinger) Buerster.
Sharon graduated from Clay City High School in 1971. She was a payroll processor at Heartland Dental in Effingham and retired in 2018, after 14 years of service.
Sharon was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, Illinois. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting, and sewing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 44 years. She married Patrick Correll on December 14, 1974, at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Stringtown, Illinois. They are the parents of two children: Pamela (William) Rauch of Kingsville, Texas; and Ryan (Kimberly) Correll of Noble, Illinois. Sharon was blessed with two granddaughters – Caroline and Annemarie.
In addition, Sharon is survived by her mother, Hermina Buerster; three sisters – Elaine (Jr.) Slunaker, Patricia Boswell, Peggy (Gerald) Klingler; and four brothers – Mark (Rita) Buerster, Tony (Missy) Buerster, Greg (Cheryl) Buerster, and Scott (Sandy) Buerster.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lowell Buerster, two sisters - Carol Ochs and Sandra Buerster, and a brother – Gary Buerster.
