Sharon McCoy, age 75, of Matteson, IL, passed away at 9:00 AM – Friday, December 20, 2024, in Orland Park, Illinois.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Trexler Cemetery in Latona, Illinois.

Sharon was born on September 12, 1949, the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Thierling) Beasley in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Sharon married the love of her life, the late Darrell Dean McCoy, on August 16, 1980. They were blessed with a son, Darrell "Charlie" McCoy, he survives. Sharon retired from being a clerk at a gas station where she brought smiles to many.

Sharon enjoyed gardening, making Christmas cookies and crocheting.  She was active with the Altar Guild, serving fellow parishioners, and fundraising events at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Richton Park, Illinois.

Sharon is survived by her son, Darrell "Carlie" McCoy, of Matteson, Illinois, brother Russell Beasley of Ovid, NY, numerous brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great nieces, great-great nephews, great-great nieces, and cousins by whom she will be greatly missed.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, husband Darrell Dean McCoy, and brother, Michael Beasley.
