Shirley Jo (Finney) Jayne Cooper, age 76
of Newton, Illinois passed away at 12:15 AM – Tuesday, February 17, 2015
at Newton Rest Haven in Newton, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM – Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois with Bro. Garry Hostettler officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service. Private burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Newton, Illinois.
In loving memory of Shirley memorials may be made to the Bogota Baptist Church.
Shirley was born on September 25, 1938 in Newton, Illinois the daughter of Lawrence and O'Neil (Erwin) Finney. She married William Robert "Bob" Jayne and later married Robert Cooper on April 16, 1984 and he preceded her in death on December 13, 2009.
Shirley worked at E.R. Moore in Newton, IL for many years. She later moved to
Pasadena, Texas where she retired from the parts department at 7-UP in Houston, Texas.
She was a member of the Bogota Baptist Church in Bogota, Illinois and she enjoyed traveling.

Son – Kenny Jayne of Newton, Illinois
Step Son – Pete Cooper of Newton, Illinois
Brothers – Michael Ray Finney of Charleston, Illinois
Wayne Finney of Newton, Illinois
14 Grandchildren 2 Great Grandchildren
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Kevin Robert Jayne and
a sister Karen Marie Finney.
