Shirley Rose Qualls, age 65, of Newton, Illinois, and formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away at 8:22 AM – Monday, October 2, 2023, at Helia Healthcare in Newton, Illinois.

Shirley was born on January 9, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Ann Miles.

Shirley was a manager at Wrigley Field for several years.  She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and known for her colorful language.

Shirley is survived by:

Children – Loretta (Kevin) Hoynes of Newton, Illinois; Louis Qualls (fiancé Ekco) of Newton, Illinois; and William Qualls of Kentland, Indiana

Grandchildren – Gianna, Tyler, Marissa, Connor, William, Abby, Jacob, Sierra, Lexi, AJ, Isiah, Jessica, Jimmy, David, and Lisa

Great Granddaughter – Aliyzah

Shirley was preceded in death by her mother and brother Frank.
