Stephen Dale Chapman, age 67
Of rural Hidalgo, IL passed away at 7:48 AM – Sunday, November 27, 2011 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.

Steve was born on October 31, 1944 in Palestine, IL the son of Glen E. Griffith and Ruth (Chapman).
Steve served his country in the United States Army from 1961 until 1964.
Steve worked at Polarware in Sheboygan, WI for many years after returing to Jasper County he worked at Stone's Throw Golf Course in Newton.
Steve was an avid golfer and enjoyed drawing, flower and vegetable gardening.
Steve is survived by:
Mother – Ruth Griffith of Rose Hill, IL
4 Children – David Chapman; Paul (wife Alissa) Chapman; Melissa (husband Michael) Ploeckelman and Megan Kisvari all of Sheboygan, WI
10 Grandchildren
2 Brothers – Jeff Griffith of Newton, IL and Phillp (wife Donna) Griffith of Robinson, IL
Steve was preceded in death by his father, brothers Lynn, Larry and Brad Griffith.
