Obituary
of Effingham, Illinois and formerly of Newton, Illinois passed away at 6:50 PM – Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM – Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois with Tom Matson officiating. Burial will be in the Plainfield Cemetery in Rose Hill, Illinois. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service. In loving memory of Steven, memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Steven was born on September 23, 1962, in Mattoon, Illinois the son of John Carl and Rosa Mae (Dow) Auteberry, Sr. He graduated of Newton Community High School with the Class of 1981.
Steven enjoyed cooking and had operated the Ingraham Café in Ingraham, Illinois. He was a member of the Newton Free Methodist Church and the Eagles. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
Steven is survived by: Children – Mary (Brian) Davis and Stephen Auteberry both of Lawrenceville, Illinois 5 Grandchildren Brothers and Sisters – John C. Auteberry, Jr.; Linda Kay (Charles)Carlson; Mina Marie Cox; Charles (Marge) Auteberry; Barbara (Dale) Berry; Carlotta (Bill) Barbee; Danny Auteberry; Jeannie (Jim) Hartke; Lynnette (Chipper) Fugate; Rose Marie (Ben) Ruholl; Ginger Mann and Terri Kay (Mike) Asbell.
