Steven Joe Judy, Jr. age 33

of Newton, Illinois passed away at 1:13 PM – Saturday, November 7, 2015 at his home.
Celebration of Life services for Steve will be held at 3:00 PM – Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Scott Avenue Christian Church 404 Scott Avenue Newton, Illinois. In loving memory of Steve, memorials may be made to the Lynn and Mason Judy education fund c/c Jackie Judy 12058 A East 1125 th Avenue Newton, Illinois 62448. Private burial will be in the Kerns Cemetery in rural Gila, Illinois. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.
Steve was born July 27,1982 in Olney Illinois the son of Steven Judy Sr. and Cheri (Goss) Johnson. Steve married Jackie Kistner of Newton, Illinois on February 14, 2004 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Steve was a member of the Class of 2001 from Newton Community High School. He had worked for PAR electrical contractors and was a member of the IBEW union.
Steve enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved hunting, fishing, building derby cars and woodworking.
Steve is survived by his wife of 11 years - Jackie Judy of Newton Illinois, Daughter Lynn age 12 and son Mason age 10. His parents Steven (LeeAnn) Judy Sr. of Newton Illinois and Cheri (Keith) Johnson of Dieterich Illinois. Siblings Jeffery (Mika) Judy of Newton Illinois; Marcia (CJ) Peters of Flat Rock Illinois; Katie (Travis) Blake of Yale Illinois and Amy (Daniel) Drake of Robinson Illinois. Grandparents Jackie and Bonnie Judy of Newton Illinois; Cloyce and Bonnie Goss of Oblong Illinois and Elaine Kitchen of Willow Hill, Illinois. Father and Mother-in-law Allen and Carla Kistner of Jewett, Illinois and a sister-in-law Bridget Kistner of Springfield, Illinois. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and a nephew also survive.
Steven was preceded in death by Grandfather Walter Kitchen.
