Sue Marlene Harris, age 73, of Willow Hill, Illinois, passed away at 11:05 AM - Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at her home with family around her.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM – Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, with a service to follow with Kevin Colclasure officiating. The burial will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Sainte Marie, Illinois.
In loving memory of Sue, memorials may be made to We Care for Orphans, envelops will be provided at the funeral home, or on-line at www.wecarefororphansfund.org please add "In Memory of Sue Harris" in the memo.

Sue was born on September 15, 1951, in Saint Louis, Missouri. The daughter of Coy Stephen and Lillian Josephine (Stringer) Stagner, she grew up in San Diego, California. She met Paul F. Harris when he was stationed in San Diego during his service in the US Navy, and they were married on March 11, 1972, in La Jolla, California. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2012.
Sue was a loving wife, mom, grandma, and sister. She helped Paul farm for many years, and they raised their family on their farm southeast of Willow Hill.
Sue is survived by:
Children – Michelle Elaine Harris (husband, Keven Dines) Shepston of Broomfield, Colorado; Michael Paul (wife, Amy) Harris of Willow Hill, Illinois; and Mark William (wife, Rachel) Harris of Gays, Illinois
Grandchildren – Aidan Shepston, Kiera Shepston, Gabrielle Shepston, Julian Shepston, Tristan Harris, Colby Harris, Adrian Harris, Sadie Harris, Anthony Harris, and Ryan Harris
Siblings – James Stagner of Willow Hill, Illinois; Bernice Tullock of De Soto, Missouri; and Marcia Wilson of Festus, Missouri
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, husband, mother-in-law, Mary E. (Ochs) Harris, and father-in-law, Harold L. "Bud" Harris.
