Susie Short, age 71, of Dundas, went to be with the Lord at 11:50 AM on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at First Assembly of God in Olney. Funeral service will be at 10 AM at on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at First Assembly of God in Olney. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery in rural Richland County. Pastor Paul Goss will be officiating.

Susie was born on January 23, 1946 in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of Arthur and Lorene (Meadows) Lawley. She later married Bob Short on December 28, 1963 in Olney. He survives.

She was a matron at the high school for several years. She was an active member of First Assembly of God in Olney. She was a part of the MAPS organization and she loved planting flowers and growing things in nature. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Susie is survived by her husband Bob Short of Dundas; daughter Deb Lynch and husband Rob; 3 grandchildren Ryan Kilgore, Heather Kilgore, Tera Briggs; and 4 great-grandchildren Jaden, Peyton, Lane, and Jason.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Lorene Lawley.
