Tara Jo (Long) Pottorff, 46 of Olney passed away at 4:10 AM on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Linda White House in Evansville.

Visitation will be from 3-5:30 PM on Thursday, April 14th in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney. Memorial service will be at 5:30 PM in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney. Pastor Jesse Thornton and Pastor Ben Strode will be officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Maple Dale Cemetery. Cremation rites will be accorded.

She was born on December 15, 1975 in Olney, the daughter of Bobby and Bonnie (Padgett) Long. She later married Drew Pottorff on April 2, 2017 in Olney. He survives.

Tara worked at SWAN in Olney for the last couple of years. She also worked at the Wal-Mart DC from 1998-2019. She was a graduate of East Richland High School in 1994. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Olney. She loved watching her son wrestle and taking many photos during his events. She also spent many weekends watching her husband and son playing softball all over the area. She enjoyed camping on their free weekends. She was a fur mom of her beloved dogs Harper and Avery and a fur grandma of Hazel. She was a huge Yadier Molina Fan and of the St. Louis Cardinals. She was loved by everyone she met and had such a kind and giving heart.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Drew Pottorff of Olney; son Ean Pottorff of Olney; mother Bonnie Long of Olney; brother Bryan Long and wife Debbie of St. Elmo; 2 sisters Jenny Gordon of Olney and Christina Schmidt and husband Tony of Olney; several nieces and nephews and in-laws.

She is preceded in death by her father Bobby Long and grandparents.
