Terry LeRoy Runyon, age 60, of West Salem, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 in rural Edwards County.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Friday, March 3, 2017 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10 AM in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at Moravian Church Cemetery in West Salem. Bob Totten will be officiating.

Terry was born on November 27, 1956 in Olney, the son of Harry and Katherine (McDowell) Runyon.

Terry was on his way to run beagle dogs with a friend when he passed away. He was doing what he loved. Terry enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids, family, and friends. He was president of the UKC and very active with the beagle clubs. Terry and his son Gary spent most of their spare time running their beagle dogs.

Terry is survived by his mother, Katherine Runyon of West Salem; 2 sons Thomas Runyon (Desiree) of Flora and Gary Runyon (Crystal) of West Salem; daughter Heather Persinger (Matt Richards) of Olney; brother Ronald Runyon of West Salem; 3 sisters Kathy Law (Ronnie) of Bentonville, Arkansas, Annette Runyon (Marion Thomas) of Olney, Tonya Barthelemy (Roy) of West Salem; 3 grandchildren Riley and Mason Persinger of Olney and Lucas Runyon of West Salem; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father Harry Runyon; grandparents Woodrow and Bea (Densmore) McDowell; great-grandparents Roy and Alma (Fryman) Densmore; niece Katlyn Barthelemy; Billy and Effie (Thomas) Runyon; Leo Hart; Alva and Flora (Thread) McDowell; William and Sarah (Knight) Runyon; Chester and Almeda (McCleave) Thomas.
