Timothy Rolla Hayes, age 62

Timothy Rolla Hayes, age 62, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 8:15 PM - Sunday, March 28, 2021, at his home.

Private family services will be held.  Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.

Timothy was born on November 3, 1958, in Olney, Illinois, the son of George Stanley and Mary Lois (Bieber) Hayes.  He married Carolyn Spraggins on June 9, 1990, and she survives.

Tim was currently employed at Newton Broom, where he had worked for over 30 years.  He was a graduating member of the Class of 1976, from Newton Community High School.

Tim was a member of the First Baptist Church in Newton.  He was an artist and enjoyed painting, carving and playing the guitar.

Tim is survived by:

Wife of 30 years – Carolyn Hayes of Newton, Illinois

Sons – Todd Miller of Normal, Illinois and Kevin Miller of Effingham, Illinois

Grandchildren – Macey Miller, Audrey Miller, Hunter Miller, Ripken Miller and Gracey Koester

Brother – John (Kathy) Hayes of Newton, Illinois

Several nieces and nephews also survive

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ed Hayes.
