Victor Lee "Lucky" Stevens, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 9:30 AM – Sunday, February 28, 2016, at his home.
Funeral services celebrating Lucky's life will be held at 10:30 AM – Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, with Rick Britton officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM – Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the funeral home. Victor Lee, better known as "Lucky" was born on November 22, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Bessie May Stevens. He married Marsha M. Piercefield on August 26, 1967, in Newton, Illinois, and she survives.
Lucky was a truck driver and was currently trucking for Brothers Transportation in St. Louis, Missouri. He was an avid golfer and bowler.

John (Tiffany) Stevens of Boynton Beach, Florida
Granddaughter – Hannah Stevens of Boynton Beach, Florida Sister – Robin Adkins of Tennessee
Brother-in-law – Tony (Lucy) Piercefield of Newton, Illinois
Sisters-in-law – Shirley (Neil) McCann of Newton, Illinois; Marge (Tom) Wilson of Newton, Illinois; Jeanie (Oscar) Parker of Petersburg, Indiana; Nancy (Jim) Tuttle of Newton, Illinois; Candy (Randy, Sr.) Smith of Willow Hill, Illinois
and Sister-in-law Carol Piercefield of Olney, Illinois.
Lucky was preceded in death by his mother and step father Bessie May and John Phillips; 3 children – Victor, Lisa and Rose Ann Stevens; sister Linda Phillips; brothers Johnny and Clifford Phillips; mother-in-law and father-in-law Lillie and Lawrence "Buck" Piercefield and a brother-in-law Joe Piercefield.
