Virgil D. Stanley, age 78 of Olney, passed away at 5:04 PM, on Wednesday, October 31st, 2012 at Core Nursing Rehab Center in Bedford, Indiana.

Cremation rites will be accorded Virgil and a graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, on Saturday, November 10th, 2012 in the Chapel of Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont, Illinois.

Virgil was born on August 11, 1934, the son of Harold and Alice (Schnautz) Stanley in Richland County, Illinois.

He had a degree in Electronics and worked as a television repairman and worked on pinball and other types of game machines in and around Southern Illinois.

Virgil is survived by his two daughters, Grace Forrester, and companion Lawrence Knowlton of Olney and Jennifer Stanley of Olney; two brothers George Stanley of Olney; Melvin Stanley, and wife Barb of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; sister Norma Murray, and her husband Don of Rockford, Illinois; three grandchildren, Dalton Forrester, Rusty Forrester, and Payden Senecal.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Harold and Alice Stanley, wife Katy Jo, and sister Betty Stanley.
