Mrs. Wanda H. Katro, age 87

Mrs. Wanda H. Katro, of Dundas, Illinois, passed away at 7:40 PM – Friday, January 20, 2017, at Helia Healthcare in Olney, Illinois.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM – Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in rural West Liberty, Illinois.   Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM – Monday, January 23, 2017, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  In loving memory of Wanda, memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society 525 West Monroe Street Suite 1510 Chicago, Illinois 60661.
Wanda was born on November 4, 1929, in Richland County, Illinois, the daughter of Lloyd B. and Ruth E. (Yost) Harding.  She married John Curtis Katro on September 4, 1960, in Olney, Illinois, and he survives.

Wanda was a Registered Nurse and a homemaker.  She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney, Illinois, Order of Eastern Star in Olney and the Moose Lodge of Olney.  She enjoyed quilting and playing the piano. She played the piano at several area churches including the Willow Hill United Methodist Church.

Husband of 56 years – John Katro of Dundas, Illinois
Son – Chris (Tori) Katro of Springfield, Illinois
Grandchildren – Bethany (Andy) Barnes, Russell Zoerner and Dustin Zoerner
Great Grandchildren – Gavin Zoerner, Grace Zoerner, Ace Barnes and Evelyn Barnes

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, brother Daymond Harding and an infant sister.
