William Joel Samuel Koon, 63, of Olney, passed away at 9:55 AM on Monday, September 5, 2022 at Helia Healthcare in Olney.

Services are pending at this time. Thrasher Family Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Sam was born on August 25, 1959.

He is survived by his daughter and her husband Jennifer and Jeremy Hawkins Sr. of Iberia, MO; 6 grandchildren Collen and his wife Kaitlyn of Nixa, MO, Caleb and his wife Brooke of Iberia, MO, Jesse Waters of Iberia, MO, Skylar and her husband Bob Baker of Osage Beach, MO, Jeremy Hawkins, Jr. of Iberia, MO; 9 great-grandchildren Kaden, Mackenzie, Addalynn, Carter, Cayson, Kylee Willis all of Nixa, MO, Mila, Jaxton, Grayson Hawkins all of Iberia, MO; close friends Kory Dunn, Jim Lane, and Pastor Steve Wingert.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A special thank you goes to Kory Dunn, Jim Lane and Pastor Steve for being there, helping with everything for Sam, Carle Richland Memorial Hospital for taking care of Sam, and Helia Healthcare.
