Willie P. (Rigdon) Shryock, 97, of Olney, passed away at 2:45 PM on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Graveside service will be at 4 PM on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at South Bend Cemetery in rural Jasper/Crawford County.

Willie was born on January 14, 1925 in Metter, Georgia, the daughter of Willie and Marentha (Holloway) Rigdon. She later married Clarence Shryock on December 27, 1945 in Metter, Georgia. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2003.

She worked as a cook at Fox River Assisted Living Facility in Olney before she retired. She also worked at the shoe factory and bicycle factory when she was younger. She enjoyed doing crafts, quilting, and going fishing.

Willie is survived by her 2 daughters Sandra Burke of Olney and Linda Wilkerson of Palm Coast, Florida; grandson Anthony Burke; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence Shryock. Parents Willie and Marentha Rigdon and several brothers and sisters.
