Wilma J. Rodgers, 82, of Olney, died at 11:54 AM, Saturday, July 5th, 2014 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois.
Visitation will be from 10AM - 12 PM (NOON) on Wednesday, July 9th, 2014 in the chapel of Stasi-Grove Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12 PM (NOON) with Reverend Bob Totten officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Albion.
Wilma was born on August 28th, 1931, in Newton, Illinois, the daughter of Clifford Inman and Elsie (Mason) Inman. She later married Ed Rodgers who preceded her in death. Her companion of 30 years, Roy Rodgers also preceded her in death.
She worked as a waitress for many years and also worked at the Joliet Arsenal. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Olney, Olney Eagles Club and American Legion. She enjoyed working on her genealogy with her sister, as well as gardening and canning and taking care of her flowers. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Wilma is survived by her 3 sisters, Shirley Farrand, of Florida, Goldie McCreary, and her husband Will of Albion, and Pat Barnett, of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Elsie Inman; husband Ed Rodgers; companion Roy Rodgers; brother Victor Inman; nephew Larry Pressley; and 2 nieces, Rita Smith and Crystal Pressley.
Memorials can be made to COPD or American Heart Association.
