Of Dieterich, IL passed away at 1:00 AM - Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM – Saturday, November 9, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church south of Dieterich, IL with Pastor Stephen Gillet officiating. Burial will be in the St. Matthew's Cemetery west of Winterrowd, IL. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM – Friday, November 8, 2013 at the church and ½ hour before the service. In loving memory of Willie, memorials may be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church or Donor's choice. Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Wright Funeral Home in Dieterich, IL. Wilton W. "Willie" Traub was born on December 4, 1933 in Lucas Township, Effingham County, Illinois the son of Henry and Lueetta (Schwartz) Traub. He married Joan E. Niendick on May 10, 1964 and she survives.

Willie was a farmer most of his life in Lucas Township and worked on the oil pipeline. He was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He served his country in the United States Army from 1952 thru 1954 during the Korean Conflict.

Willie is survived by: Wife of 49 years – Joan Traub of Dieterich, IL Brothers – Wendell (Judy) Traub of Effingham, IL Terry (Joyce) Traub of Carrollton, IL Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Lueetta and his step mother Agnes and a sister Wanda Mann.
